Henry Milton Crow was born 07 Jan 1874 in Walker County, Georgia and died 15 Oct 1970 in a Dallas hospital. On 06 Sept 1896 he married Margaret Ann Tankersley, daughter of George Jackson Tankersley and Rebecca Elder.
Henry and Margaret (called Maggie or Mag) met while working at one of the local rug mills. (Maggie was good friends with Henry's sister Minnie).
Times were hard in Georgia, so Henry came to Texas about 1901. He came to Irving, TX found work and sent for Maggie. At some point they made a move to Abbott, TX but returned to Irving in 1906.
Henry was a carpenter, and built the family a home on 6th St in Irving. He also built many small houses around Irving. He was a tall slim man with large facial features, notable ears, and rough carpenter hands.
Maggie died in 1941 at the age of 67 yrs, and Henry remained in their home living alone with daughter Audrey next door. When Audrey and her family moved away, daughter Delma and her husband had the old house torn down, built a new one so they could care for him. He lived there with them until his death at the age of 96.
