Samuel E. Taylor, 98, of Honolulu, a retired Coast Guard captain, died in Honolulu. He was born in Yakima, Wash.
He is survived by sons Gary and Michael A., brother Allan, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 5919 Kalanianaole Highway. Mass: 11 a.m. Committal services: 1 p.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Aloha attire. No flowers.
