Evelyn Viola Russell of Bend died Saturday. She was 89.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery in Bend. A memorial service will follow at Grace First Lutheran Church in Bend.

Mrs. Russell was born Nov. 13, 1916, in Noonan, N.D., to John and Maren (Shervey) Anderson. She graduated from Bend High School. She married Floyd Russell on May 22, 1937, in Yakima, Wash.

Mrs. Russell worked as an office manager for Bob Thomas Auto Sales for 46 years. She retired in 1979. She was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church, Sons of Norway and various ladies clubs. She enjoyed being with family, crossword puzzles, crocheting, knitting, bowling, gaming and watching sports.

Survivors include a daughter, Gwen Holliday of Bend; a brother, Roland Anderson of Bend; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and five sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
