Elizabeth was born August 25, 1922 in Salt Lake City to James and Ethel Bogan.
She married Walter Luebcke on April 29, 1946 in Crown Point, Indiana. They returned to Salt Lake City in 1947.
She was an entrepreneur at heart and in 1948 she and Walt bought Hart Letter Shop. Hart Letter Shop grew into Progressive Printing and with their son, Jim, built a fifty employee commercial printing plant. In her 80's, she enjoyed working as a sample lady at Sam's Club.
Elizabeth loved friendship, vacationing in Hawaii, Island Park, and went as often as she could with friends.
Her social group included friendships formed in high school and working at the Arms Plant during World War II. It was at the Arms Plant that Elizabeth met Walt. She was an accomplished artist.
Elizabeth was an endearing lady and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved son, James Luebcke; his wife, Marsha; grandchildren, Monica Chancey, Christopher Luebcke, and Tavish McGregor; great-grandchildren, Mykella Chancey, Nicholas Chancey, Ginger Luebcke, and Gabriel Luebcke; and her cat, Snoopy. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of sixty-eight years, Walter; sister, Anna "Babe" McClane; and many dear friends.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salt Lake City.
