Mr. Julian Paul Roudabush, Jr., age 86 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born in Roanoke on June 30, 1928 to the late Julian Paul Roudabush, Sr. and Adelaide Akers Roudabush. Paul was a member of Nettle Ridge United Methodist Church and had grown up in the Villamont Presbyterian Church. He also was a member of Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #263 A.F. and A.M. A retired teacher who began his training as a machinist at the M&W Shops never lost his love and enthusiasm for trains, always loving the sound of a steam engine. He was good with a hammer and could fix most anything (unless it was plastic). Paul was blessed to have enjoyed many happy reunions with school mates and family, and is now enjoying the greatest reunion of all. To God be the glory.

Paul is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marguerite Kincer Roudabush of the home; two sons, Julian Paul Roudabush, III and wife, Teri of Staley, North Carolina, Perry Ernest Roudabush and wife, Susan of Spencer; four grandchildren, Julian Paul Roudabush, IV, and wife, Chelsie, Benjamin Roudabush and wife, Karen, Kaitlyn Cobler and husband, Josh, Claire Roudabush; three great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Roudabush, Mckinley Roudabush and Case Cobler; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Sue Buttram and husband, Jimmy of Villamont; a brother, Joe F. Roudabush and wife, Jane of Villamont; a brother-in-law, Robert N. Guthrie of Vinton; and several nieces and a nephew.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Mark Clayton officiating. Masonic rites will be conducted by Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #263. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Glade Creek Cemetery, Blue Ridge, Virginia with Rev. Johnny Graybill officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.c
