Mrs. DeLoache was the wife of the late Mr. Mims Workman DeLoache and a native of Allendale S.C. She was the daughter of the late James Reid and Zilphia Zephora Allen Boylston of Allendale. Educated in the public school of Allendale, Mrs. DeLoache attended the University of South Carolina. She retired from the Georgia Railroad Bank & Trust Company in 1984 after 34 years, holding various management positions in credit and loan administration. She was one of the first three female Vice Presidents of the bank elected in 1977. During her banking career, she was active in the Credit Women's Breakfast Club and completed several certificate level programs of the American Institute of Banking. In retirement she continued as an active member of The Retired Officers Club of the Georgia Railroad Bank. Remaining active in retirement, she served as a volunteer for the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Palmetto Garden Club. She was also a Golden Arrow member of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity. Her interests included bridge and traveling to the British Isles, France, Italy, Morocco, Spain, Russia, Australia and New Zealand. Always passionate about her heritage - both Northern and Southern - she was a member of the Colonial Dames of XVII Century and treasured her key to the City of Boston from the Mayor.
Mrs. DeLoache is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Timothy D. Green, of Wellesley, Mass.; step granddaughters, Hilary Green Chagnon (Stephen) of Farmington, Conn. and Kate Green of West Hartford, Conn.; great- grandchildren, Madeleine and Jason Chagnon. Other survivors include a sister-in-law, Margaret Hall Boylston of Allendale, S.C.; nieces, Georgia Kennedy Irvin of Chevy Chase, Md., Catherine Anderson Clayton of Wilson, N.C., Nell Ray Hillsley of Minneapolis, Minn., Harriott Hampton Faucette of Columbia, S.C.; nephews, Quincy Adolphous Kennedy of Columbia, S.C., James Reid Boylston of Barnwell, S.C., Melvin Hall Boylston of Allendale and William Elliott DeLoache of Columbia, S.C., numerous grand-nieces and nephews.
