Dan J. Atencio died December 1, 2014. He was born July 7, 1934 to Simon and Rosarita Trujillo Atencio. Attended Helper High School. Served in the US Army from 1950 - 1952. Married Sue Knowlton, June 27, 1970. Member of the Catholic Church in St. George, Utah. He was a life-time member of the Knights of Columbus. Employed at Holy Cross Hospital for 18 years. He retired from the Holladay Gun Club after serving as manager for 5 years. Then he and Sue retired to St. George, Utah. Dan loved to camp, fish, and spend time with his family.

Survived by his wife, Sue; children, Kathy Feurino (Rick), Suzanne Mathis; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Vicky Lopez, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by 6 sisters and 2 brothers.

Mass of Funeral Rites will be held Friday, December 5th, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 So. Redwood Rd. West Jordan, Utah, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
