Harry was driving a truck as was his father, the elder working for a laundry service, Harry Jr. for a beverage company. Harry was a World War II Army veteran, mustering in on 15 Jul 1942 in Pennsylvania. He served in the 132nd Ordnance Maintenance Battalion and was discharged as a Tec 5. Harry received an Honorable Discharge on 24 Feb 1944 at Camp Gordon, Georgia.
