Mrs. Sterling, Lifelong Cone Resident, Dies

Conesville - Mrs. Madison L Sterling, lifelong resident of the Conesville Community died at her home at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The daughter of William and Rebecca Jane Reeder, she was born in the county Dec. 10, 1878. She was first married to Harry Carney, in 1894 and he died in 1911. Her marriage to Madison L. Sterling took place in April 1914.

Surviving are the husband, three children, Mrs. Sam York, of Iowa City, Mrs. Fay Naber of Davenport, Clark Carney of Conesville and three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Reynolds, of Columbus Junction, Mrs. Nora Kary of Davenport, and Mrs. Eva Chruch. Three children and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Baker, preceded in death.

Funeral arrangements were indefinite today. The Kirchner Funeral home of Nichols is in charge.
