Mrs. Pauline Earp Murdock, 83, of Statesville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 at Davis Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Murdock was born Oct. 1, 1927 in Alexander County, NC and was the daughter of the late Clete J. Earp and Jennie Lail Earp. She attended Taylorsville High School and was married to the late William David Murdock, who died August 9, 2002. She was a member of Northmont Baptist Church and worked for Carolina Glove in Taylorsville and Clear Knit in Statesville.

Mrs. Murdock is survived by one daughter, Toni Rollins of Hickory, three grandchildren, Hope Sharpe and husband, Wesley of Hiddenite, Nathan Rollins of Colfax, CA, Kyle Rollins of Hickory, three great grandchildren, Evan Sharpe, Taylor Sharpe, Henry Rollins, two brothers, Bill Earp and wife, Lucille and Dean Earp and wife, Mary along with two sisters, Lillian Queen and Doris Jenkins, all of Taylorsville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Danny Robinette and one granddaughter, Robin Rollins.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Boger officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Iredell County Humane Society.
