MOUNT PLEASANT -- Jean Dick BURNS, age 78, died on February 23, 1983 in San Rafael, California.

Born on November 13, 1904 in Manti, Utah to James Milton and Olivia Peacock BURNS. Married Ettis Effonnia JOHANSEN on December 29, 1922 in Provo, Utah; she died on January 04, 1982. He was chief of materials and facilities at the Hamilton Field Air Base in California. Membe, LDS Church. Active community affairs in Mount Pleasant; former president of the Mount Pleasant Lions Club. Member of BPOE Lode #849, Provo.

Survivors: one daughter, Mrs. Clyde (Bonnie) JONES, of San Rafael, California; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Nathan (Beatrice) NEILSON, of Mount Pleasant, Utah; Mrs. Helen LARSEN, of McGill, Nevada. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert.

Funeral Services, Monday, 11:00 a.m., Ursenbach Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where friends may call Sunday, 7:00-8:00 p.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
