Amy was working at the Remington Hotel in American Falls, Idaho, when she met and fell in love with Herbert David Brumble. They were married in 1914 and had 7 children which includes a stillborn son and a set of identical twins: William Henry, the infant, Herbert David Jr. & Howard Joseph, Delbert Arthur, Florence Mary, and Alton LaVerne. Amy did not know she was going to have twins so with no name for the second twin, they named him Howard after the doctor.
Bert gave dedicated, loving care to Amy. Following his death in 1977, she was taken home by her daughter to Pocatello, Idaho, where she was cared for until her death.
Amy is interred next to her husband in the River View Abbey in Portland, Oregon.
