Funeral services for Claudia Lee Zimmerman Ford, 85 of Lismore, LA will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville, LA at 2 pm officiated by Rev. Russell Crum.

Interment will follow the service at Ford Family Cemetery in Monterey, LA under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ford was born, August 11, 1929 in Franklin County, MS and passed away March 9, 2015 at her home.

She was a horticulture enthusiast and member the following clubs: the Cenla Daylily Society, Delta Daylily Society, Baton Rouge Daylily Society and American Daylily Society. She was a national Exhibition Judge and Instructor, an Exhibition Liaison Judge for Region 13, Arkansas and Louisiana, and Member of Franklin Peacemaker Quilt Club of Winnsboro.

Claudia was preceded in death by: her husband, S.L. Ford, Sr.; her parents, Henry Zimmerman and Essie Lee Harrigill Zimmerman; son, Stephen Lee Ford, Jr.; brother, Carl Henry Zimmerman and sister, Leslie May Benson.

Claudia is survived by: son, Pete Ford and wife Judy of Wetumpka, Alabama; son, Buster Ford and wife Faye of Lismore, LA; daughter, Lydia Massa and husband Doug of Breaux Bridge, LA; grandchildren, Tracy Ford, Marcy Moreland, “Little Pete” Ford, Jr., Shelly Smith, Leanna Ford, Michael Ebersole, and Leah Massa, and 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mildred Benson of Frogmore, LA.

Pallbearers are Derek Moreland, Connor Moreland, Michael Ebersole, Doug Massa, Little Pete Ford, Tal Taliaferro and Jacob Smith.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 am until 2 pm at Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville, LA.
