Lou Nora Coulter was the daughter of George Washington Coulter and Ella Mitchell She first married John Henry Curbow on 25 Aug 1902 in Little River County, Arkansas. This couple had two known children: George "Moses" Wise Curbow (1903-1987) and William Noah Curbow (1909-1975). Her second marriage was to S. H. Cromer whom she married 2 Jun 1935 in Marion County, Texas. She may have also been married to ? Tidwell - as she has a son with that surname. She was also married to James S. Murphy.

Mrs. Nora Murphy - Funeral services for Mrs. Nora L. Murphy, 80, of 745 Boyd St. will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Tinkler Mission Chapel. Burial will be in the Golden Sunset Cemetery in Kerman. Mrs. Murphy died of a heart attack yesterday in her home. She was a native of Texas and had lived in Kerman 12 years before moving to Fresno five months ago. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Kerman, and attended the Pentecostal Church of God in Fresno for the past five months. Surviving are three sons, George W. Curbow of Chicago, Ill., and Willis C. Tidwell of Eureka, Humboldt County; two sisters, Mrs. Leota Tyler of Corpus Christ, Tex., and Mrs. Mattie Emberson of Fresno; three brothers, Claude Coulter of Salt Lake City, Utah, V. Ray Coulter of Magna, Utah, and Richard Coulter of Texas, and four grandchildren.
