Henry Mickelson was born May 4, 1879 and died suddenly at his home in Connorsville at the age of 73 years. He was baptized in Hay River Prairie Farm by Rev J.A. Urness. He grew to manhood on a farm when he moved to New Haven where he farmed until he moved to Connorsville in 1944, making his home there until his death.
He was married to Bertha Strom in 1915. To this union four children were born, all of whom with his wife survive. They are Mrs. Pete Olson, Boyceville, Mrs. Ralph Wallen, Prairie Farm, Mrs. Oliver Fjeseth, Minneapolis, and Palmer, Minneapolis. He also leaves ten grandchildren and five sisters, Mrs. Ole Hanson, Mrs. Josie Paulson, Wheeler, Mrs. Mollie Staverlock, Menomonie, and Mrs. Cass King, White Bear, Minn.
Funeral services were held Sept 18 at West Akers Lutheran church, the Rev. M.C. Thompson officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.
