David Strehlow, of Saukville, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington. He was 78 year old. Dave was born in Salem, WI on June 29, 1936, son of Henry Strehlow and Lucille Lee Strehlow. Dave grew up in the Bonduel area, graduating from Bonduel High School in 1954. After high school Dave served his country in the US Navy. On June 8, 1957 he married Nancy Sperberg in Bonduel. Dave worked as a meat cutter for many area grocery stores including Piggly Wiggly in Saukville, where he retired in 2001. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Saukville and also Landt-Thiel American Legion Post 470. Dave enjoyed fishing Lake Michigan and hunting just about anything he could. His favorite hunt was when he shot a bear in northern Wisconsin. Dave is survived by his wife Nancy of Saukville, his three sons: David Strehlow Jr. of Milwaukee, Stephen Strehlow of Saukville and Carl (Sue) Strehlow of Belgium. He is further survived by three grandchildren: Derrick, Max and Carly Sue, his brother Hank (Karen) Strehlow of Princeton, his foster sister Phyllis Kepichski of FL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Lee (the late Dee) and two foster brothers Ralph and Carl Yuenger. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14th at 3 PM at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 166 W. Dekora St. Saukville with Pastor Brian Damrow presiding. He will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Suring, WI. Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 14th at the CHURCH from 1-3 PM.
