ONEIDA >> Helen H. Arnold, 82, formerly of Belmont Avenue, Oneida, died Wednesday evening March 4, 2015, in FOCUS Rehab and Nursing Center, Utica, where she had been a resident since Dec. 22, 2011.
Helen was born on May 10, 1932, in Oneida, the daughter of Reuben and Ethel Rouse Holdridge. She grew up in Clockville and was a graduate of Canastota High School.
She married Edward A. Arnold on May 20, 1950, in St. Paul's Evangelical United Methodist Church Oneida. Mr. Arnold died on March 10, 2004.
Helen and her son, Scott, owned and operated the Copy Cat Tavern on West Elm Street in Oneida for 25 years retiring in 2003. She was a long time employee of the Oneida Daily Dispatch.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Oneida and the Ladies of the Elks Oneida Lodge No. 767.
Surviving are her three children, Scott A. (Vicky) Arnold of Oneida, Craig E. (Catherine) Arnold of Oneida, and Patricia (Michael) Corpin of Peterboro; one sister, Shirley Rinaldo of Canastota; one brother, Jim Jones of Morrisville; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Debbie) Lasher, Jennifer (Kyle) Castle, Andrea Lasher, Amy (Scott) Jones, Steven (Brittney) Arnold, Amy (Steve) Bertella, Kayla Corpin, and Emily Corpin; six great-grandchildren, Caden Lasher, Curtis Lasher, Madden Jones, Pryce Jones, Aidan Bertella, and Gavin Bertella. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Harrison Holdridge, Frederick Holdridge and Robert (Barney) Holdridge and a grandson, Marine Lance Cpl. Jeremy Lasher.
Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015, from the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc. with the Rev. Brian Fellows officiating. Friends are invited and may call from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 342 Main St., Oneida. Spring interment will be made in Clockville Cemetery.
