Compiler’s Note: When a young man Jesse A, Allen went to Kansas and worked on wheat farms for a couple of years. He then returned to Trigg County and farmed for Amos Miller. While there he married Emma Ford also of Trigg County. In 1921 they bought their own farm near Linton and lived there until the house burned in 1948. They then moved into the tenant house. Later they bought a
home in Cadiz Kentucky, and lived there until 1979. In June 1979 the Allens moved to Borden, Indiana, because of failing health, and to be near their daughter to take care of them. Both were very active members of Boyd Hill Baptist Church for many years.
