Burial will follow in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dunlop passed away at Legacy Hospice on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, after a prolonged illness.
She was born to Ethelene and Hector Williams on May 15, 1926, in Browndell. Hattie graduated from high school in Jasper. She worked in the Bethlehem shipyard during World War II as a burner. Hattie then attended nursing school and received her registered nurse degree from Hotel Dieu Hospital School of Nursing in Beaumont. Later, she attended anesthesia school at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, La., and earned her certified registered nurse anesthetists certification. On July 19, 1974, she married her husband, Dr. Clif Dunlop, to whom she had been married for 35 years. Together they traveled extensively, visiting most of the states in the United States, Mexico, Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. She loved flowers and had a wonderful passion for her grandchildren.
Hattie was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving family, including her husband, Clif Dunlop of Tyler; two children, Paula Karen Page of Arp and William Kirby Richard Jr. of Beaumont; stepdaughter, D'Lisa Rozean of Hays, Kan.; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Van Williams, Rufus Williams, Nathan Page, Christopher Richard, Evan Richard, Ryan Rozean and Cory Rozean.
Visitation is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler, 75703.
Memorials in honor of Hattie Dunlop may be made to Legacy Hospice, 120 E. South Town Blvd., Tyler, 75703.
