Abbie Bass, daughter of Francis Peter Kerley was born on November 9, 1874 and departed this life March 11, 1954. Two children were born, one daughter dying in infancy. Mrs. Bass has made her home with her other daughter, Wandie Morris for the past fifteen years. She joined the Primitive Baptist Church of Rock Springs in May 1892 and lived in fellowship of this faith until death. She leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter, Wandie; three grandchildren, Omer and Donnie Morris and Orla Faye Bowman; six great- grandchildren, John, Larry and David Bowman and Michael , Steven and Philip Morris; one sister, Tennie Kerley and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 14, 1954 at County Line Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. C.O. Kerley and burial was in the Kerley Cemetery. [Contributed by Faye Morris Bowman]
