Verna Eulaine Stout, nee Bigham, age 102, of Caseyville, Ill., born Sept. 16, 1912, in Denmark, Ill., died Thursday, March 5, 2015, at her home. Verna married Orval D. Stout on Dec. 24, 1936, in Perry County. They had six children, four surviving to adulthood and Douglas Gale and Sally Ann passed away in infancy.Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Orval; her parents, John Franklin and Maggie Mae, nee Cottom, Bigham; siblings, Valley LeRoy Bigham, Ruby Metz and Nina Carter; four daughters, Joycelyn Magene Clark, Jacklyn Nadene Mitchell (Bert), Linda Joann Jackson (Boe) and Patricia E. Peterson; and a grandson, Gary Clark.Surviving are her grandchildren, Butch Clark, Stanley Clark, Brenda Campbell, Mike Mitchell, Susan Lewis, Julie Mitchell, Jacklyn Mitchell, Mike Jackson, Jonna Peterson, Kelly Peterson, Charles Peterson, and Dana Schaitel; 16 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; a great-great-great-grandchild; and a son-in-law, Charles Clark.Visitation: Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.
