Mr. John Webster Brooke [should read Wesley] died at his residence on the Powder Springs Road, on Oct 2, 1931 [should be 28th], after a short illness.
The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from Bascomb Church in Cherokee County. Re.v Geo. P. Gary officiating. Interment was in Bascomb cemetery.
The following named gentlemen served as pallbearers: Messrs. Virgil Brooke, Cecil Payne, Ernest Brooke, Sanford Payne, Barrone Brooke, and Will Brooke.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. F. Runyan, of Talladega, Aala., and Mrs. J. M. Payne, Cartersville, GA; two sons, Mr. T. J. Brooke and Mr. W. C. Brooke of Marietta, GA.
