He was a son of Philip and Elsie Reid Alpaugh, both deceased and spent the early part of his life in Potterstown. He afterwards lived in the vicinity of Whitehouse and from there to Annandale thirty years ago.
He is survived by five daughters and two sons:
Mrs. John N. Campbell, Jr. of Chester,
Mrs. Joseph N. Oakes of Trenton,
Mrs. Raymond Manning of Peapack
Miss Erma J. Alpaugh of Peapack
Mrs. Cecil R McConnell of Annandale
Grover C. of Annandale
Howard Alpaugh of Annandale.
He also leaves two brothers and two sisters:
Henry Alpaugh of Oldwick,
Oliver Alpaugh of Lebanon,
Mrs. Isaac French of Trenton, and
Mrs. Austin C. Eick of Lebanon,
as well as fifteen grandchildren.
He was a member of Annandale Reformed Church.
His obituary was published in the Hunterdon County Democrat on May 22, 1930.
