Billy Van White, 63, of Rosebud, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at his residence. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Fred Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Phillips Cemetery in Travis.
Mr. White was born July 7, 1951 in Rosebud to Willie Bryan and Hattie Downes White. He graduated from Rosebud High School and owned B & K Welding in Rosebud where he worked as a welder and a machinist. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rosebud.
He is survived by one son, Quinton White of Barclay,
One daughter, Tammy Cavanaugh of Troy
Three Sisters: Mona Wentzel of Black Jack, Bess Lewis of Belton, and Brenda McGoldrick of Temple
Six Grandchildren: Candice White, Logan White, Lindsey White, Lexie White, Camren Cavanaugh, and Mason Cavanaugh
He is also survived by longtime companion, Paula Piper.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
