Lydia E. Rhodes, 95 VEEDERSBURG - Lydia E. Rhodes, 95, formerly of Veedersburg, died at 11:13 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at Rosewalk Village in Lafayette. She was born Dec. 31, 1910, to the late Justin C. and Effie Booe Adair. Her marriage was to Kenneth H. Rhodes on Sept. 14, 1929, in Veedersburg, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1997. Mrs. Rhodes was a home-maker who served as trustee and treasurer for the Rockfield Cemetery for 40 years. She was also the assistant manager for the Veedersburg Drive-In Theatre. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth "Hap" Rhodes (wife: Billie Jo) of Crawfordsville and William Rhodes (wife: Marilyn) of Kouts; and a daughter, Glenda Moran (husband: Richard) of Lafayette. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. service time Thursday at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, the Rev. Glenda Woodcox officiating. Interment Rockfield Cemetery. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister. Preferred memorials to the Alzheimer's Association or Rosewalk Village Memory Care Unit, 1903 Union St., Lafayette, IN 47905.
