OBITUARY: Grace Kate Beckstead Smith, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Friday January 3, 1992 at the LDS Hospital of pneumonia.
She was born August 18, 1900 in Preston, Idaho to Priscilla Kate and Roger Adelbert Beckstead. Married Kenneth Gilbert Smith in the Salt Lake LDS Temple August 29, 1923; he preceded her in death in 1979.
She was a long time resident of Pocatello, Idaho, where she had many friends and relatives and worked as a clerk at the Lewis Style Shop for many years.
Survived by two daughters and two sons, Thora Hough (Cecil), Kaysville; DeVon Smith (Betty), Salt Lake City; Norman Smith (Gail), and Lola Sweet (Fred), all Livermore, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and sister, Maude Stowell, Preston, Idaho. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 7. Burial, Preston City, Idaho Cemetery.
