Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtie Murrah Campbell, 72, were held Sunday, January 30, at 2 p.m. at the Elkhorn Methodist Church. Burial was in the Brookside Cemetery. Rev. J. A. McDowell was in charge of the services. Mrs. Campbell, daughter of the late Edward R. Murrah and Kittie Waggner Murrah, was born in Taylor County, September 9, 1882. She died at the Metzmeier Nursing Home here on Friday, January 28, at 12:25 a.m. Mrs. Campbell had been in ill health for the past five years. She professed faith in Christ at an early age in life and was a member of the Elkhorn Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Porter Campbell in July, 1908. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1945. Mrs. Campbell is survived by one brother and two sisters, J. A. Murrah, Mrs. Eva Bowen, both of Campbellsville, Route 1; and Mrs. Carpenter, Hardwood, Mo.; also several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were George Dearen, Gilbert Knifley, Douglas Bright, Shelby Murphy, Wilbur Weatherford, and Bud Dudgeon.
