David Lee Urban, 55, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008.
David was born on June 13, 1952 in Goliad. He moved to Austin in 1971 and later graduated from the University of Texas School of Engineering. David was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his garden and ranching with his father-in-law. He was a strong willed individual who was always generous, dependable and outfitted for any planned activity. David cared deeply for his family and friends and will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy and Enid Gerhardt Urban.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Mary Jon Urban; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Sam Ingram and his grandson, Owen of Austin; brother, Wayne Urban of Huntsville; and sister, Lana Hartgrove of Goliad.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008 at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Austin.
