Born July 19, 1907, in Rush County, she was the daughter of Andrew and Ada Mays. She married Theodore R. Smith on Feb. 14, 1922, and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker.
She a nurse's aide at Heritage House Convalescent Center, Shelbyville.
She was a member of Pilgrim Holiness and Bible Covenant churches.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Glenna) Rick, Anderson, and Violet Gardner, Shelbyville; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sons, one brother and one grandson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
