Anne Marie Makidon, 88, of International Falls passed away Monday January 23, 2006 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Mn. surrounded by her loving family.Anne was born to Thomas and Anna (Franz) Carroll in International Falls, Mn on June 27, 1917. She Attended St. Thomas Catholic School and Falls High School. The Former Anne Marie Carroll was united in Marriage to George Makidon in 1935. George preceded her in death on January 31, 1988Anne enjoyed spending summers when she could be with her family at Carroll's Beach. She loved being with her family and took special interest in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anne enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the High Bidder Bridge Club and several other Bridge Clubs. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, The Catholic Daughters of America for over sixty years, Degree of Honor and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Anna Carroll her husband George Makidon, three brothers Conrad, William and John Carroll and a Sister Marion Carmody.Anne is survived by her four daughters , Patricia Kurtz of Woodbury, MN., Mary Jean Walls of Baxter, MN., RoseMarie Harcus of Mounds View, MN., and Doreen Piekarski of Int'l Falls. A sister Katherine Allen of Int'l Falls. Ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. Funeral services on Friday January 27, 2006 at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery..
