Dies in Hospital

Services for Bernard F.
Scharoun, 69, of 519 Boyden
St., who died Saturday at the
Veterans Administration Hospital
after a short illness, will
be at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow at
Gang Memorial Chapel, Fordam
Road.
A solemn high Mass of requiem
will celebrated a {9 a.m.
in St. Vincent de Paul Church.
Burial will be in St. Mary's
Cemetery-
Mr. Scharoun was a member
of the Syracuse Police Department
35 years, retiring in
1962.
A native of Syracuse,he was
a member of the Police Benevo
1 e n t Association, Syracuse
Policemen's Fraternal Association
and was a communicant
of St. Vincent de Paul
Church.
Surviving are his wife Mrs.
Nora Morrissey Scharoun;
two sons. Edward of Cazenovia
and Frederick Scharoun, a
daughter, Mrs. Helen Zogby;
•two brothers. Carl and Albert
Scharoun; two sisters, Mrs.
Clotilda Gleason and Mrs.
Charles Rooney of Scotia and
seven grandchildren.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral
home.
