MARTHA LOUISE STARKS

Martha Louise Starks, born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, on January 16, 1925, to John Roland Bledsoe and Lillian Herrington Bledsoe, went to her eternal home with Jesus on February 21, 2015, in Conroe, Texas, at the age of 90.

Martha was a member of the Cut-N-Shoot Harley Davidson club with her deceased husband, and was an employee of Southwestern Bell for 38 years, a member of the Pioneers and a nearby women's abuse center. She volunteered at THEE Hospice of Huntsville, was a member of the Montgomery County Homemakers, and was active in the card & hospitality ministry at Evergreen Baptist Church, as well as supporting several missionaries, including Samaritans Purse, Billy Graham, American Red Cross, and Alzheimer's Research.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Edward Starks; Brothers, Neal Bledsoe, John Bledsoe Jr., Billy Bledsoe and Sister, Jean Bledsoe.

She is survived by her Sisters, Mary Lively, Lucy Reeves, Flora Damon and husband Jim; Daughters, Nikki Starks, Linda Mahn and husband Patrick, Laura Gregory and husband Warren, Jaki Mayes and husband Rob; Grandchildren, Mike, Dawn, Charles, Patricia, Keith, Debbie, Wendy, Carrie, Timothy, Joshua, and Shiloh; 29 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren, as well as many other cherished family, and friends.

Visitation is 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Friday, February 27, 2015, at Metcalf Funeral Directors, Conroe, TX, and the Funeral Service is 2:00pm, Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Metcalf Funeral Directors as well. Interment followed at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Coldspring, Texas.
