Gracie Simmons, 91 passed away at the Morton Co. Hospital in Elkart, Kanas. The daughter of Rosie E. (Stanley) and Ballard W. Boaldin, she was born on the Boaldin homestead southwest of Elkhart. She married Earl Ellwood Simmons on Nov. 24, 1930 in Guymon, Oklahoma. They made their home in Guymon where she was a member of the Guymon Church of Christ. Her husband passed away in 1996. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ann Beaman, two sons, Leo Dean Simmons and Eugene Simmons, two brothers, William Dee Boaldin, and James T. Boaldin, and a grandson, Ricky Beaman. Surviving is one son, Dudley, ten grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and many great-great grandchldren.
Funeral services were wed. Dec. 15 at 10 a.m at the Church of God in Elkart. Interment followed in the Elkhart Cemetery.
