Denzil Ray Grimes, age 65, husband of Teresa (Gregory) Grimes of Sinking Creek Road, London, Kentucky passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, at his residence. A Laurel County native, he was born April 26, 1949. He was a truck driver. He was the father of Angela Rae Grimes, Tiffany Gregory, and Chastity Hellard all of London, Kentucky. The grandfather of William Hellard and Walton Hellard both of London, Kentucky. The brother-in-law of Beverly Grimes, of London, Kentucky; the uncle of Greg Grimes and Derrick Grimes, both of London, Kentucky; the great uncle of Bryant Grimes, Aaron Grimes, and Corey Grimes, all of London, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by one son, Denzil Scott Grimes; by his parents, Walter and Doris (Evans) Grimes; by two brothers, William Earl Grimes and Woodrow Grimes. Funeral services for Denzil Ray Grimes will be conducted Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Denny McCowan officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Derrick Grimes, Greg Grimes, Johnny Isaacs, Eddie Isaacs, Robbie Settles and Shannon Cheek. The family of Denzil Ray Grimes will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015.
