Obituary
MARY COOK was born in Gainsborough,Lincolnshire,England May 18,1838:departed this life March 24,1921,aged 82 years,10 months,6 days.
She came from England when 16 years old,with her parents,brothers and sisters,and settled in Montgomery Co.,Ohio.
Two years later she was married to George Driver who also came from England on the same vessel.In 1869 they moved to Montgomery Co.,Indiana,where she has resided ever since.To this union were born eight children,one dying in infancy.Her husband departed this life January 27,1873.The children who survive are Mrs O I Hitch of Darlington,Mrs James Shumaker of Romnov,C A Driver,Mrs James Mastin,Mrs Bruce Mastin,Mrs B F Conrad and Mrs George A Thomas of Crawfordsville.She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
She united with the Christian Church at Youngs' Chapel about forty-five years ago and for many years was always in her accustomed place in the old church.In later years one of her greatest joys was the home coming at church.She has fought a good fight and many years of her life it was a hard fight but she kept the faith and now has recieved her crown of glory.

OCTEGENARIAN CELEBRATES:
Mrs B F Conrad (Flora) entertained the children,grandchildren and great grandchildren to the number of twenty-three in honor of her mother,Mrs Mary Driver's,eighteth birthday.
At noon hour a bountiful dinner was served.There sat at the table with her,her six daughters,Mrs O I Hitch,Mrs James Shoemaker and Mrs Bruce Mastin.Mrs Driver was born in England in 1838.She has been very much interested in the war from the begining and has a wonderful memory and is well informed on war news.She has knit several pairs of socks for the soldier boys and pieced three Red Cross comforts last winter and spring.

Died early today at home of daughter,Mrs James Mastin
Funeral on Saturday
Mrs Mary Driver died early today at the home of her daughter,Mrs Jas. M Mastin,215 south Grant avenue.Mrs Driver was taken suddenly ill last Saturday evening having been in her usual good health up until that time.She suffered a stroke of paralysis from which she was unable to recover.Mrs Driver was 82 years of age.
The deceased who was well known here was born in England and when 16 came,with her parents to this country.Two years later she united in marriage with George Driver,The husband has been dead for a number of years.
The aged woman is survived by seven children,Mrs Conrad,Mrs Jas. Mastin,Mrs Bruce Mastin,Mrs Geo. Thomas,Mrs O I Hitch,Mrs James Shumaker(sic) and Charles Driver.
The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock
at the Young's Chapel Church.Burial will take place in the Young's Chapel Cemetery.
