Mrs. Ammie Allen Taken By Death
The body of Mrs. Ammie Allen, 71, former resident of Huntsville who died at the home of a daughter in Talladega, Saturday night, was brought to Huntsville today and taken to the home of another daughter, Mrs. W. C. Franklin, on Dallas Avenue.
The funeral services are set for Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 in the Fifth Street Baptist church, with the Rev. Jack Carroll conducting. Burial will be in the State Line cemetery, with Laughlin-Service directing.
Active pallbearers will be Otis Cullom, Shelie Cantrell, Calvin Rousseau, Grover Wright, Henry Case and Zolly Curry.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. W. M. Brewer, of Talladega, Mrs. Franklin and Mrs. R. F. Burwell, of Huntsville; six sons, Burton Allen, Harvey, Norman, Charlie and Dewey Allen, all of Huntsville, and Pvt. Hughey Allen of Camp Ellis, Ill.
Mrs. Allen was the widow of I. D. Allen, Huntsville, and was a member of the Burminston Baptist church at Talladega.
