Mrs. Nancie Bentley Babb, age 71, of 2320 Main Street, Hardwick, died Tuesday morning, December 21, in a local hospital. She was the widow of the late Mr. Clifton Babb; a native of Wilkinson County but had spent most of her adult life in Milledgeville.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. William Wayne Bentley and the late Mrs. Lillie Chambers Bentley. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Marie Alford, Mrs. Rose Woodall and Mrs. Linda Lee, all of Milledgeville; and Mrs. Elizabeth Cooper of Warner Robins; six sons, Mr. William Babb of Coopers; Mr. Gerrell Babb, Mr. George Babb,
Mr. Joe Babb and Mr. John Babb, all of Milledgeville and Mr. Pete Babb of Hardwick, two sisters, Mrs. Della Little, Milledgeville and Mrs. Ella Gusterferson of Newark, New Jersey; five brothers, Mr John Bentley and Mr. Carl Bentley
both of Milledgeville; Mr. Will Bentley and Mr. Lugan Bentley, both of Toomsboro and Mr. Robert Bentley, Coopers;
34 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at three o.clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Herndon officiating. Burial was in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
