Elizabeth Florence Nunaly, 82, of Lodi, died Sunday morning in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born and raised in Angels Camp, and later moved to Ione, where she worked as a rural mail carrier. In 1922, she married Leonard Nunaly.
They moved to Thornton in 1929, where she was employed by Thornton Canning Co. for 36 years. She retired in 1959.
Mrs. Nunaly was a member of the Thornton Community Church and the Cannery Workers Union.
She is survived by two sons, Leonard Nunaly of Acampo and Earl Nunaly of Placerville; one daughter, Ada Ball of Placerville; one sister, Lydia Wood of Petaluma; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Burial at Cherokee Memorial Park.
