Amos E. Mouser, age 91, died February 25, 2015 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Born February 1, 1924 in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Ben and Della (Knighton) Mouser, he was a member of Assembly of God faith.

Mr. Mouser was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Infantry during World War II, he lived in Belleville, Illinois where he worked for Bill Simons Modular Homes as maintenance foreman before retiring and moving to Sikeston.

On September 14, 1945 at Matthews, Missouri he married Voneline Marie "Polly" (Hughes) Mouser; she preceded him in death on March 4, 2013.

Survivors include four sons, Gary Mouser of Manchester, Michigan, Ronnie Mouser and Richard Mouser both of Perryville, Missouri and Greg Mouser of Belleville, Illinois; four daughters, Jane Manning of East Prairie, Missouri, Joyce Johnson of Manchester, Tennessee, Sandy Henson of Olathe, Kansas and Donna Estes of Benton, Missouri; one brother, Frank Mouser of Red Bud, Illinois; one sister, Tilda "Sis" Burton of Eureka, Missouri; 18 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.


Interment will follow at 3:00 PM in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.
