Madeline was born in Cornell, IL on August 2, 1914, to RB and Verta (Cashmer) Morris. She married Glenn Earp in Ottawa, IL on January 2, 1936. They had four children: Norman, Kenneth, Karen, and Gary and made their home in Cornell. Norman, a Peoria, IL veterinarian, and Gary, a craftsman, preceded their mother in death. She worked for the C and R Telephone Company for more than fifty years. She was a member of the Cornell Election Board and the Cornell American Legion Auxiliary. She had seven grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren. She is survived by two sisters, two children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren as well as her husband of seventy years, Glenn. She was a daring, spirited woman of true grit who had homesteaded with her family as a child in Montana. She accompanied her husband on a motorcycle through Canada into Alaska more than once and liked to drive fast cars into her seventies. She could coax life out of any plant and made elaborate candies and pies that are indescribable. She loved all animals and they knew it and loved her back. She was plain-spoken and outspoken, usually jolly, and nearly everyone's favorite!
