Born July 27, 1961, he died Saturday, July 12, 2008, after a kidney transplant at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. He was 46, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Walker. He had a kind, giving heart and loved children and would always spoil them with gifts. He was a member of Colyell Poboy Hunting Club and loved to hunt and fish in both saltwater and freshwater. He was a member of Sheet Metal Local 21 and employed by Montgomery Heating & Air. Visiting at Shady Bower Church, Walker, on Tuesday, July 15, was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Brother Bennie Jones, Brother Wayne Mack and Brother Ted Burns. Interment in Salem Cemetery. Survived by his mother, Bennie Lou Huffstetler; stepdaughter, Candace McMaster and husband Adam; beloved son, Josh Huffstetler, his heart and hunting and fishing buddy; sister, Suzette Dugas and husband Darrell, his best friend; grandmother, Ezola Donachricha; three grandchildren, Nicholas McMaster, Nilsa and James McMaster; special nieces, Katelyn and Christel Dugas; godchild, McKenzie Schenk; and special cousin, Donny Gee. Preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Huffstetler. Arrangements by Renaissance Services Inc., Gonzales.
