Edith A. Miller, age 84 of Cridersville, died at 10:40 p.m., Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Cridersville Health Care. She was born June 23, 1930 in Defiance Township, Ohio; the daughter of the late William E. and Edith M. Minge Chilcote. On November 2, 1946 she married Edward E. Miller, who died January 3, 2014.
Mrs. Miller retired as head cashier from Pangles Grocery. She was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Miami Valley court #53 Order of the Amaranth, Inc.; 50 year member of Lima Shrine #20 WSJ; 50 year member of Grove Chapter #527 OES; and the Social Order of the Beauceant, Findlay.
She is survived by a daughter – E. Caroline Miller of Cridersville; 2 sister-in-laws – Evelyn Lawrence of Russells Point and Helen (Bud) Ousley of Rapid City, SD; a brother-in-law – Jim B. Miller of Harrod; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death 3 sisters – Maxine Loomis; Eleanor Goslick; and Laura M. Hunt; and a brother-in-law – John Miller.
A White Shrine and funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville; Rev. Tim Benjamin will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
