LaVonne Narlock, 76, of Warren, MN, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

LaVonne Orlene Rustan was born on October 25, 1938, in Grafton, ND, to Vernon and Stella (Bjerke) Rustan. She grew up in rural Edinburg, ND, attended Tiber school and after graduating from Adams (ND) High School, attended one year of college at the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, MN.

On June 1, 1961, LaVonne was united in marriage to Sylvester Narlock, in St. John Catholic Church, Grafton ND. The young couple then moved to rural Warren, where they farmed and raised their children.

LaVonne loved to read, journal and host gatherings of family and friends. She waa a wonderful cook and loved to bake. Any visitor to her home was offered homemade treats. Her children especially enjoyed her blueberry and apple pies. She provided much love and care to her many grandchildren. She and Syl traveled extensively around the United States and also had the opportunity to travel to Rome, Medjugorje,and the Holy Land with members of her family.

LaVonne had strong faith in God and lived her life in service to others. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Warren, and attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church the last three years of her life. She belonged to her Circle Bible Study Group and Homemakers
and was an active volunteer in the MCCL, ODC Bible Study and Marshall County Social Services where she was honored with a Volunteer of the Year award.

LaVonne is survived by her husband of over 53 years, Sylvester; seven children: Diane (Brian) Rokke of Newfolden, MN, Jerry (Connie) Narlock of Eagan, MN, Carol (John) Novacek, Donald (Denelle) Narlock, Dean (Annabelle) Narlock, Janice (Todd) Mortimer, all of Warren, and Darrel (Amanda) Narlock of Fargo, ND; twenty-one grandchildren; and sisters, Sandra Samuelson of Park River, ND, Lynda (Roger)_ Raumin of Grafton, and Judy (Tony) Osowski of Minto, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Darlene Sherek.

A Rosary will be held at 4:27PM (the time LaVonne passed), on Thursday, February 26, 2015 with visitation after 5:00PM and a 6:30PM Prayer Service at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren. Mass of Christian burial: Friday, February 27, at 10:30AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Warren with visitation one hour before the service. Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Warren, MN.
