Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Monday, January 20, 1941, page 2:
  Frank Charles Feryanitz, 422 Springer avenue, died early Sunday morning at 1:10 o'clock at the Veteran's Hospital at Jefferson Barracks, after a year's illness, during which time he had suffered with heart trouble.
  Mr. Feryanitz was born in Glen Carbon, the son of Mrs. Agnes Feryanitz, and the late Frank Feryanitz, Sr., who died in 1912. He was 45 years, 4 months and 18 days of age. He had lived in Edwardsville for 15 years, having previously lived in Glen Carbon.
  He was a member of the American Legion and served overseas during the last World War. On April 12, 1919, he was married to his wife, Mrs. Vera Feryanitz, who survives with four children, one child having preceded him in death.
  Surviving beside his wife and mother are the children, Dermont, Delano, Kathryn and Robert Feryanitz, all of Edwardsville, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Schauerte of Valleijo, Calif., and Mrs. Lucille Beckman of Los Angeles. One sister, Mrs. Katherine Fouts, died in 1922.
  Mr. Feryanitz was a member of St. John's Methodist Church and was employed by the Illinois Terminal Railroad until the time of his illness.
  Funeral services will be from the Lesley Marks Funeral Home, where the body lies in state, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Albert R. Ransom of St. John's Church and members of the American Legion will conduct the services. Burial will be at Glen Carbon Cemetery.
