Mr. Andrew J Wright died of congestion at his home near Harms on Tuesday morning, August 9, 1898, age 60 years. He was born March 28, 1838, in Oglethrope County, GA, and came to Lincoln County, Tenn. in 1856. He was married to Miss Sarah Lauderdale on January 12, 1858, after her death he married Mrs. M. J. Brown, who survives him. He joined the Missionary Baptist church while living in George but after coming to this county became a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church with his wife. The funeral was conducted be Rev. J.B. Tigert, burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Wright had the confidence and esteem of everyone that knew him. He dealt justly with his fellow man and never oppressed anyone. He has gone to a bounteous reward.
