Mrs. Burleson was born in Stanly County to the late Ed "Hipo" Burleson and the late Mary "Ma Docia" Poplin Burleson.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years Raymond S. Burleson, a son, Stevie Burleson, and brothers Ode and Dee Burleson.
The funeral service will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, February 25th at 2 pm, officiated by Rev. Richard Carlisle. Burial will follow at Poplin Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Burleson is survived by her children Roma Gene Taylor of Garysburg, Dwight and Johnnye Earle Burleson of Whiteville and Terri and Jay Bennett of Garysburg; sister and brother in law Doris and Clarence Crowell of Albemarle; sisters in law Gerri, Margaret, and Doris Burleson; Grandchildren, Ed Burleson, Jennifer Hall, Trey, Dan, and Ridge Parker, Will and Matt Bennet; great grandchildren, Tess Burleson, Braxton and Matilyn Bennett.
