Betty R. Maudlin, 91, of Kokomo, passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation of Kokomo.
Betty was born in Farmland, Indiana on June 12, 1936 to the late Fred and Effie Ruth (Trent) Allen. She married Howard Maudlin on January 16, 1943 in Peru, who preceded her in death on December 18, 2012. Betty retired from Kokomo Center Schools in 1985 after 20 years of service as the cafeteria manager. She enjoyed puzzles, walks and spending time with family and friends.
Betty is survived by her son, Wayne Lee (Judy) Maudlin of The Villages, Florida; daughter, Natalie Gotshall of Logansport; brothers, Charles Allen of Kokomo, and Keith (Barbara) Allen of Florida; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one on the way; 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers and sisters, Lela Kellar, Norman Allen, Cleo Allen, John Allen, and Exie Johnston; and son-in-law, Stephen Gotshall.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Albright Cemetery.
