Fort Riley-Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Morris Hill Chapel here for Shawnna LeAnn Rettig, 14, Fort Riley, who died Thursday, Dec. 6, at a Kansas City, Kan., medical Center. She had leukemia.
She was born Jan. 9, 1970, at Pittsburg, the daughter of Maj. Howard W. Rettig and Sue Ann Hale Rettig. She was a student at Fort Riley Junior High School.
Survivors include her parents, Fort Riley; two sisters, Shelli Rettig and Shannin Rettig, both of the home; grandparents, Howard and Opal Rettig, Graham, N.C., and Nathan and Wanda Hale, Haven; and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Cornelia Royster, Henderson, KY.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Laurel Cemetery at Haven. Miss Rettig will lie in state from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. today at Mass-Hinitt-Alexander Funeral Home in Junction City and from 2 until 3 p.m. Monday at Cantwell Funeral Home in Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia Society of America.
