Ronald Thomas "Tom" Bliesener, 55, of Fairfield, formerly of Burlington, died at Washington County Hospital.

Born to Ronald and Roberta Gabeline Bliesener. On June 28, 1970, he married Tammy Kiersey.

He worked in construction.

Tom was a graduate of Burlington High School and attended Southeastern Community College, Iowa State University and University of Iowa. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Burlington and the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at ISU.

For the past 15 years, he resided at Ceder Creek Rescare Facility in Fairfield.

He was an avid baseball and an excellent basketball player in his youth. He enjoyed reading The Hawk Eye newspaper and keeping up with in his hometown. He was an Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Survivers include son, Josh Lamm of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren; mother, Roberta of Burlington; brothers, Jerry Sr., Richard, and Robert, all of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald.

The funeral service was held at the Lunning Chapel with the Rev. JudyAnn Morse officiating.
