Daughter of William Walker and Sarah Capp. First wife of George Edward Freels, married 10 NOV 1897 in Monroe County, Missouri.

MO d/c 17311—DOB as 16 APR 1877, age 32 years, 7 months, 27 days. Obit has 03 OCT 1877, age 32 years, 7 months, 27 days for DOB. DOD same for both. DC was in error of DOB calculation.

Obituary (Madison (MO) Times, June 2, 1910)—Amanda Melvina Walker was born October 3rd, 1877, died May 30, 1910, aged 32 years, 7 months and 27 days. She was married to George E. Freels, November 10, 1897. To this union were born five children, all of whom survive her. She united with the M. E. Church South at the age of fourteen. She was a devoted wife and mother. She bore her sufferings with christian fortitude, her only regret was leaving her children. Her last request was for all to pray for them. Funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Hess, her pastor, after which she was laid to rest in the Alexander graveyard.
